Zefferelli could never have found a more perfect actor to portray Christ than Robert Powell. He is the epitome of man and the Christ. When I saw this series, it amazed me and changed the way I looked at Christ. For years, He had been a complete Diety. After the series, I realized that Christ was a man - a real human being, albeit a very special man who was also the Christ. But until now, I never thought of Christ being human - He was always untouchable. Now that I understand how human he must have been, I can actually feel that I could (if I saw Him), actually stop him on the street and talk to him like a friend. This mini-series shows that not only was Christ a heavenly diety, but, that he was also a human being just like the rest of us. Mr. Powell, YOU are an UNFORGETTABLE Actor and person. Thank You for giving me a Human Christ.
