The Ally |
 |
We find again Reggie Armitage in this
episode but in a rather funny way. He hides in Hannay's appartement a
powerful machine-gun, thinking Hannay is on holidays, but he isn't and
finds it in his room (very funny scene). And also he has to ignore
Hannay when both are invited by the Under Secretary of State for War
(extremely funny again). |

The "Hannay
Girl" |
 |
Lady
Veronica (Leonie Mellinger) is the wife of the Under Secretary of State
for War, but she's also a gambler and has lost a lof of money. Full of
despair, she tries to commit suicide and is saved by Hannay. To thank
him for his act, she invites him to meet her husband, the same day
Reggie comes to dinner! |

The Bad Guy |
 |
In the meantime, mischevious Count Von
Schwabing knows the situation of Lady Veronica and as he knows who
she's married to, he wants to exchange money against information in
that powerful weapon.
But Hannay thinks that he and Lady Veronica had an affair and
he wants to blackmail her. As the gentleman he is, he will save the day! |

This
is another good episode written by Michael Robson. I liked the
imbroglio between Hannay and Reggie and Von Schwabing. I love the
episodes with the mischevious Count!
There's something else I loved from this episode is that it was filmed
(I'm 100% sure!) in Salisbury, in the south of England. A beautiful
city in the countryside which brings me beautiful memories!
