are relished by celebrities, diplomats and holiday-makers alike. But
for Richard Hannay the journey proves to be a nightmare.
|
The Ally |
Boy Morland
(Peter Pacey) is very useful : he knows which is Hannay's favorite
whisky and gives wise advises such as "stay away from women".
|
The "Hannay
Girl" |
 |
Dore Nicholson (Sharon Maughan) is an
american divorced artist ... or a Mata Hari? Again we meet a modern
woman (a spy) whose drawings with the location of oil in Mesopotamia
(Irak today).
Just for the record, Robert and Sharon appear currently in Holby City.
She's Tricia and Robert is Mark, her lovely ex-husband. |
|
The Bad Guy |
 |
Well, he's not that bad! Auguste Kars is
the richest man on earth, he owns strategic lands and protects his oil.
So it's understandable he wants to know Dore's whereabouts in his
territories.
But the real bad guy (or better said granny) is an unknown bald man
disguised as an old woman. |

This
is one of my favorite episodes, mainly because I've seen it hundred
of times (or more). It was the first of the four episodes I could record
in Mexico. So I know the dialogues entirely. I also liked the Agatha
Christie's style ambiance as this episode is freely inspired of
Christie's The Lady Vanishes.
